Hepatitis in dogs is classified into two categories.

-Infectious Canine Hepatitis

Infectious canine hepatitis is an acute contagious disease caused by the canine adenovirus. This targets different organs such as kidney, liver and stomach. Symptoms can be slight fever, thirst or apathy to death.

Canine chronic hepatitis is associated with infectious canine hepatitis. In this category at some point the liver has become inflamed and necrosis has occurred.

CURE: Treatment options can range from intravenous fluid therapy to hospitalization. Blood work will need to be taken on a regular basis.

6: HEARTWORMS (Dogs common Diseases)

Heartworm disease is a serious and sometimes fatal disease in dogs. Foot-long worms that are present in the body organs such as heart, lungs and associated blood vessels of affected dog.
